Transfer Policy

GENERAL EDUCATION TRANSFER POLICY FOR
MICHIGAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENTS EFFECTIVE
FALL 2013

To qualify for this General Education Transfer Policy students must meet these criteria:

Earned one of the following:

o Associate of Arts (A.A.),

o Associate of Science (A.S.),

o Associate of Baccalaureate Studies (A.B.S),

o Associate of Liberal Arts (A.L.A.), or a

o MACRAO-stamped transcript but do not hold the associate degree

Transfer to Wayne state from a Michigan Community college
Have been admitted to the university after Fall 2005

Associate degrees not on the list do not qualify under the transfer policy.

The following list specifies for students and advisors how this policy will be interpreted for each program and where a program will demand specific general education course work because of major or professional requirements. The transfer policy satisfies only the University General Education requirements represented in the following table. There may be additional courses and/or categories needed to satisfy the major and college requirements and these are noted in the lists below.

Note: The University Mathematics requirement is not fulfilled by the transfer policy for any of the programs below. BC and IC require a grade of "C" or better to fulfill the requirement.
