Pre-Medical/Dental/Veterinary Information

GENERAL INFORMATION

It is the applicant’s responsibility to become thoroughly familiar with the admissions requirements, examinations, application deadlines, and other information for each school to which he or she applies.  Information concerning various professional school requirements can be found at the following association websites as well as individual schools’ websites:

Allopathic Medicine: http://www.aamc.org Association of American Medical Colleges
Osteopathic Medicine: http://www.aacom.org American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine
Dentistry: http://adea.org American Dental Education Association
Veterinary Medicine: http://aavmc.org Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges

Students interested in these fields are strongly encouraged to talk with a pre-medical/dental/veterinary advisor as early as possible, particularly about the process of preparing academically, professionally, and personally for admission to a professional school.

Applicants are advised to complete their application material early in the admission season.  Please keep in mind that the ease or difficulty that you experience when applying for admission depends largely on the thoroughness of your understanding of the process and the promptness with which you meet deadlines.
